LIGHT IN OUR CELLS

a multi-media & sonic art exhibition for body, mind & soul

HRS Hôpital kirchberg in Luxembourg

august 10 – september 27, 2025

How to be healed?

I have been wondering about this since I was a child. However, if I want to know how to find healing, I first need to know who I am—or rather, what I am.

In that sense, I observed that healing is a state of harmony, a mystical and divine synergy of physical, mental, and emotional dimensions. A fine balance, which in my experience can also be traced to the concept of body, mind, and soul.

Each of us is a unique cosmos, and each carries a precious flowering of that very interplay and three-dimensional synergy. Thus, I feel that the question of how to be healed reveals answers as diverse as all the splendors of a rainbow.

In 2012, I decided to start to meditate daily to explore my mind’s expansiveness, its relation to the body and the healing intelligence, or creativity, our cells thrive on.  Since then, the moments of retreat into the chambers of my heart have extended to an hour or several hours daily.

At some point, I learned to consciously take my spirit out of the body on transcendental journeys. The infinity and beauty of our universes, with infinitely many stars, would be a favorite and very romantic destination of mine. Sometimes I also let my spirit sink and expand profoundly into my own body, or parts of my body. The latter often took me back in time by memory.

The deeper my inner eye explored diving into a cell during meditation, the further back in time I spiritually traveled, as if a vast cell memory keeps forming with each new moment we live.

In doing so, I noticed repeatedly that spatial and temporal separations disappear completely during the prolonged participation in silent meditation.

As a result, proportions and distances also cease to manifest. My perception of color and sound harmonies, that I perceived in outer space and especially with stars, was likewise reflected in the aura of cells and bodies I observed. As if our souls belonged to stars, in a way like water belongs to the sea.

How is it, that both our souls and water will reveal infinite beauty and unknown depths through the refraction of a sun, a star, shining at us, or into our soul-being?

I embarked on a wonderful and adventurous artistic and philosophical journey through impressions of color and poetry… the first results of which are presented in this exhibition.

Visual compositions accompanied by sonic Starseed walks

The exhibition at HRS Kirchberg welcomes the guests to explore the visual compositions accompanied by musical and vocal compositions.

The large format oil-on-canvas paintings and LED lightbox installations at the North wing, 1st floor Espace Artime, come together with the sonic Starseed walk Music on Meditation. The lyrics and poems are written in English and French.

When visitors scan the QR code at the beginning of the exhibition or next to a specific painting, a video with a binaural soundtrack opens. The video shows the artist performing a choreography to the music and paintings. The artist’s choreography combines improvised dancing and movements from traditional yoga,  energy work and tai chi elements.

The mixed-media collage and aquarelle images seen on the West wing, 1st floor, are accompanied by the Elohim Astrea Color Meditation for Children & Grown-Up Children.
